POLISIL
Non-Absorbable Surgical Suture (PET)
Polisil is polyester, non-absorbable, braided, sterile surgical suture made from ethylene terephthalate. This suture is obtained from long-chained, linear polyester with high molecular weight. Polisil surgical suture is available with silicon elastomer coating or without any coating. Coating material with high adherence capacity is non-reactive. Non-absorbable coating acts as lubricant. By providing easy application on tissue and ease-of-use, this suture improves physical properties of uncoated braided suture. Polisil sutures are well-thought and coloured with green colouring agent for higher visibility. These sutures comply with all requirements of American and European Pharmacopeia for non-absorbable surgical sutures.
Polisil sutures are used in general soft tissue coating and bonding of cardiovascular, ophthalmic, or neuro surgical applications. Polisil surgical suture is for single use only.
Polisil sutures are manufactured with or without stainless steel needle, between USP 7/0 – USP 5 range, and with various lengths between 10cm to 150cm. Polisil sutures are available colourless and with green colour and with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) plegia. Polisil sutures are offered in half a dozen, one, two, or three dozen boxes.
