MONOFLORID
Non-Absorbable Surgical Suture (PVDF)
Monoflorid surgical suture is non-absorbable, sterile surgical suture made from polyvinyl difluoride polymer. This suture is coloured indigo and black to increase visibility. Surgical Monoflorid sutures are used in general soft tissue coating and bonding of cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neuro surgical applications.
Monoflorid is monofilament and resistant against infections. This suture is used successfully on infected or contaminated injuries to minimise or eliminate sinus formation and suture rupture in the future. Since Monoflorid sutures don’t stick to tissues, it is easier to remove sutures.
Monoflorid sutures are manufactured with or without stainless steel needle, between USP 10/0 – USP 2 range, and with various lengths between 45cm to 150cm.
